Is this series finally starting to jump the shark?

That last episode, The Last Roundup, was full of references that everyone always makes. I.E. I Love Lucy and generic stagecoach chase scene. As well as the fanon character Derpy becoming canon and given lines.

I hate to see what this series shall become if they continue to cater to the fandom.
